Soft Technologies Oy is the controller for personal information handled through this company website and related business enquiries. This notice explains that processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Finnish data protection law.

2. Information & purposes

When you visit

Our hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser and device information, referring page and response or error information.

The purpose is to serve pages, maintain availability, investigate faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure company website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Technical requests are necessary to load the site; you do not need to create an account.

When you contact us

Contact links open your email application. We receive the email address, name, organisation, message, attachments and other information you choose to send. We use this information to answer your enquiry, discuss our products and manage the resulting business conversation.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and maintaining business relationships (Article 6(1)(f)). Where you personally ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, Article 6(1)(b) applies. Information needed to meet a legal obligation is processed under Article 6(1)(c).

Contacting us is voluntary. Without sufficient contact details or information about your enquiry, we may be unable to respond. Please send only information relevant to the conversation.

What this website does

This company website has no registration, contact submission form, advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Fonts and product images are served with the site. We do not use website visits or enquiries for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects, or for visitor profiling.

3. Cookies & your choices

The website itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Smooth scrolling works without saving a browser preference. By default, it follows your device’s reduced-motion setting.

If you select “Remember on this device” in the footer, you give permission to save your scrolling choice in local storage. This is optional and does not affect access to the site. A link that requests a scrolling mode changes that page visit without granting permission to save it.

4. Service providers & transfers

Vercel hosts and delivers the website and processes technical request information. Our email service provider processes messages sent to the contact address. Access to enquiry information is limited to people who need it to handle the conversation or associated administration. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims. We do not sell personal information.

Cloud providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Transfer protections depend on the service and recipient: these can include an applicable European Commission adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, or European Commission standard contractual clauses and supplementary safeguards where needed.

5. How long information is kept

• Enquiries: we retain correspondence while handling your request and the related follow-up. Where the conversation becomes an ongoing business relationship, relevant correspondence is retained for that relationship. Afterwards, retention is limited to what is needed for applicable record-keeping duties or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, taking account of the relevant statutory periods.
• Technical records: retention depends on the hosting service’s logging settings and the time needed to diagnose faults, detect abuse or investigate a security incident. Records needed for an active incident or legal obligation may be retained for that purpose.
• Scrolling preference: stored only after your optional choice, until you remove it as described above.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, or restriction of processing. You may receive information you provided in a portable format where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. We must stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests and rights, or need the information for legal claims. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Send requests to antti.luoto@contractingservices.onmicrosoft.com. We may ask for the minimum additional information necessary to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month. If a request is complex or there are multiple requests, GDPR permits up to two additional months; we will explain any extension within the first month.

You can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, or the supervisory authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us first.

7. Products & updates

This notice covers the Soft Technologies company website and related enquiries. It does not describe the processing of customer operational data within Verken or Verdant. Any such product use requires the relevant product privacy information and, where applicable, a customer data processing agreement. The product images on this website are static previews.

Links to other websites, including product websites, take you to services with their own privacy information.

We will revise this notice when our website or processing practices change. The date above identifies the current version. A new purpose requiring further information or consent will be communicated before that processing begins.
